Science of Cooking Jack Marrillia

Introduction

Ever since Lockdown, my lunches have not differed a whole lot. I usually have either a homemade Cheese Quesadilla or a grilled cheese. However, this has caused my lunches to taste a bit bland due to having them repeatedly. This experiment will show how I solved this problem.

Hypothesis

If I add butter to my Cheese Quesadilla, then it may taste better. My reasoning is that I add butter to Grilled Cheese to enhance the flavor, so It may have a similar effect here.

Results

As shown by the charts above, The quesadilla with butter was tastier than the one without butter

Conclusion/Discussion

My hypothesis was correct. By adding butter to my quesadilla, I made it taste better. I believe it was because Butter contains a lot of salt, which is commonly used to enhance the flavors of foods. However, there may be more factors to this, so If i were to do this experiment again, I

might add in different things to run more trials, like adding in different vegetables or meat. If I do this, then I might get an even tastier Quesadilla.
